ERA Core Values
ERA Core Values
Engineering Research Administration (ERA) places the utmost importance on building and sustaining an organizational culture that is open and welcoming to all. ERA is an organization that fosters individuality, freedom of thought and expression and belonging, aligning with Stanford's core values of integrity, diversity, respect, freedom of inquiry and expression, trust, honesty and fairness. These values guide the university's education, research, healthcare and business practices.
Campus and Community Engagement
We encourage ERA research administrators to participate in the rich and vibrant campus community at Stanford. Whether in-person or virtual, Stanford offers an abundance of opportunities and resources that include continuing studies, recreation and wellness programs, lectures, concerts, cultural and athletic events in which everyone can participate with friends and family.
Professional Development
Through our committees, working groups and professional organizations, members of ERA gain knowledge and skills for career advancement and personal growth. For example, we have an internal committee for social activities, a professional development group, as well as job aid and template development committees. Members of ERA can voluntarily engage in these groups as desired. Our staff members may also maintain active membership in groups such as the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) or SRA International, and regularly attend and present at conferences.
