The Research Development Strategist & Scholarly Editor provides School of Engineering faculty investigators with support for identifying funding opportunities, best practices in proposal preparation; writing, developing and editing proposals throughout the initial planning phases until final submission. 


About the RDS&E

For three decades, Blythe Nobleman has worked as a research development professional at major universities across the country, specifically for engineering. She also served, simultaneously, as an educator of writing about science and technology, teaching undergraduate and graduate students scholarly, academic and technical writing for engineering and science. Blythe maintains her ongoing dedication to supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for women and underrepresented minority (URM) groups in STEM disciplines by co-facilitating ERA's DEIB Working Groupand was part of the pilot program for Stanford's IDEAL Learning Journey. Using this experience, Blythe focuses on developing broadening participation plans and educational outreach in grant proposals. Blythe is included in Stanford's 2023 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning Environment (IDEAL) Honor Roll.
